Stoltenberg wants 40 billion annual military aid for Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on the allies to guarantee Ukraine military aid worth at least 40 billion euros annually. This was also about showing Russian President Vladimir Putin that he would not win his war of aggression against Ukraine, Stoltenberg explained after a meeting with the foreign ministers of the 32 NATO states in Prague. The amount of 40 billion euros would roughly correspond to the annual support provided by the allies since the start of the Russian invasion.

At the same time, Stoltenberg sharply criticized China with regard to Russia’s war. “Without China’s support, Russia would not be able to wage the war of aggression against Ukraine,” he said. China supplies Russia with large quantities of equipment that can be used both civilian and military. This includes high-end technology and semiconductors.
